Exhibition 1 October 2014 – 6 January 2015

Hanaholmen Cultural Center Sweden–Finland
www.hanaholmen.fi/sv/kulturcentrum/programkalendern

"Human, do you see?"

The question in the title strives to open our eyes and ears to that which is hidden. To inspire us to explore how the covert can make itself visible: through images, music, encounters, and movement.

An exhibition by
Christel Hansson, graphics, monotypes and objects
Stefan Klaverdal, music and sound, www.stefanklaverdal.com/
Lena Sjöstrand, text development

Movement, Christel Hansson,netting, gold

The exhibition takes as its point of departure art conceived for church settings. Lena Sjöstrand has since 1996 invited artists to develop exhibitions in the crypt of the Cathedral of Lund. Christel Hansson and Stefan Klaverdal, two of these artists, are coming to Hanaholmen to weave together their artistic expression for a joint exhibit in image and sound.

Lena Sjöstrand (Cathedral Chaplain in the Cathedral of Lund) has compiled a text and photo documentation from the exhibits in the crypt.
Art in the Crypt

The exhibition opens on October 1, as does Hymn-Song-Society, a Nordic/Baltic Hymnological conference at Hanaholmens Cultural Center

FliggoDee - Cat in a Bonsai Land

For Christmas I asked my son David for a small musical composition; I wanted to test the art of animating music. I was given a playful tune about a cat in a bonsai land, a cat who is almost always happy, except when darkness falls.

I have now given this cat an animated form, and David and I have made some progress on our project. If you would like to meet our little cat it’s available on YouTube under David’s alias FliggoDee.

MALMÖ NORDIC 2013

The opening of the exhibit is on Friday May 3 in Magistratsparken at 5 p.m..
www.malmonordic.se

Six artists from Kollektivverkstaden Grafik in Malmö
present ATIST BOOKS at ADDO, in the project room, May 4-5.

When artists work with ‘Artist Books’ everything is possible. The book as a  conceptual form is the point of departure, a limitation that at the same time allows for total freedom.
An Artist Book cannot always be read or thumbed through; paper is not always its material.
An Artist Book is a work of art that invites and provokes; it shows that a book can contain any- and everything, can be quite remarkable, and be ‘readable’ in its own particular way.

Welcome to an exhibit where members of KKV grafik demonstrate the rich expression of this art form.

”She took up graphics again with the exquisite and original results we now see at Ålgården, at once empathetic and delicate (with a an element of Rune Hagberg’s, John Cage’s or Ad Renhardt’s Zen-schooled finger-tipped sensuality, Japanese ink brush airiness, and an almost choreographic sense of movement).
